Today, on April 9th, 2007 a delegation from Saint Andrew the First-Called Foundation and the Centre of National Glory brought the Holy Fire from Jerusalem’s Church of the Holy Sepulchre to Moscow. The action took place as part of the program “ Pray for the peace of Jerusalem” with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Alexis II of Moscow and All Russia.

A working visit to Jerusalem has been made by a delegation from the Foundation of Saint Andrew the First-Called and the Center of National Glory headed by S.E. The number of volunteers for the program “Sanctity of motherhood” is growing due to the support of students of the Krasnoyarsk medical academy.

An annual meeting of the Naval Forces Command of Russia in Saint Petersburg took place on February 7th, 2007. CNGR Vice President Zalina Medoyeva was among the participants at the meeting at the invitation of Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the fleet F.S. Smuglin. She made a report about general trends of the program “The naval glory of Russia: its past, present and future” conducted by the Center of National Glory.

A showing of the film “Blessed Persian Land” took place on February 14th. The film about long-term intercultural and religious relations between Russia and Iraq was shot with the assistance of the Center of National Glory.

A meeting of the section “Military-educational upbringing of youth” was held within the framework of the XV International Christmas readings in the Cultural centre of the RF Armed forces on February 2, 2007.

The third session of the World Public Forum “Dialogue of Civilizations” has opened on the Greek island of Rhodes. The initiative of the Forum belongs to the Center of National Glory (CNG) and Foundation of St Andrew the First-Called (AFF). The correspondent of “Rosbalt” reports that about two hundred representatives of expert communities from 40 countries of the world took part in the solemn ceremony in the evening of October 5th.
