The board of trustees on restoration of the cathedral in the name of the Theodorovskaya icon of the Mother of God has been founded in Saint Petersburg. The international conference devoted to the Crimea war was held in Moscow on November 7-8, 2006. The conference was participated by representatives of power, public societies and church. Historian-orientalist, CNGR vice-president Michael Yakushev told “Interfax-Religion” about the lessons of the Crimea war for modern Russia, why a religious aspect of the war had been ignored by the soviet science, why it was important to include unbiased facts in school programs, and if a new approach to the Crimea war would be able to strengthen the positions of Russia in the world.

The third session of the World Public Forum “Dialogue of Civilizations” has opened on the Greek island of Rhodes. The initiative of the Forum belongs to the Center of National Glory (CNG) and Foundation of St Andrew the First-Called (AFF). The correspondent of “Rosbalt” reports that about two hundred representatives of expert communities from 40 countries of the world took part in the solemn ceremony in the evening of October 5th.
