The chairman of the board of trustees of the Centre of National Glory of Russia has become a member of the board of trustees on restoration of the cathedral in the name of Theodorovskaya icon of the Mother of God in Saint Petersburg.

The board of trustees on restoration of the cathedral in the name of the Theodorovskaya icon of the Mother of God has been founded in Saint Petersburg. The cathedral is planned to be restored by 2013, the 400th anniversary of the Romanov family. The board of trustees has comprised Metropolitan Vladimir of Saint-Petersburg and Ladoga, chairman of the RF State Duma B.V. Gryzlov, governor of Saint-Petersburg V.I. Matviyenko, chairman of the AFF and CNGR board of trustees V.I. Yakunin.

A holiday for soldiers.

That day the military air-raid unit headed by lieutenant-colonel S.A. Voronin was summing up active service of the current year. It was a significant action to estimate hard work of the whole regiment, its sub-units and the best military men. Chief of the division’s headquarters colonel S.P. Khayulev said many good words to give a spur.

“Interfax” : Russia won the battle for the sacred places during the Crimea war”

The international conference devoted to the Crimea war was held in Moscow on November 7-8, 2006. The conference was participated by representatives of power, public societies and church. Historian-orientalist, CNGR vice-president Michael Yakushev told “Interfax-Religion” about the lessons of the Crimea war for modern Russia, why a religious aspect of the war had been ignored by the soviet science, why it was important to include unbiased facts in school programs, and if a new approach to the Crimea war would be able to strengthen the positions of Russia in the world.

The schoolchildren from Beslan in the Christening Centre and Orthodox school of Madab

The delegation of schoolchildren from Russia included Moslems, Christians and those naming themselves atheists. Nevertheless, they all went to the sacred orthodox place without exception. Many people in modern Osetia treat the history of different religious with interest and attention now. So many teenagers of the delegation understood beforehand the importance of visiting the Christening centre in Madab.

"Rosbalt": The "Dialogue of Civilizations" Forum has opened on the Rhodes Island.

The third session of the World Public Forum “Dialogue of Civilizations” has opened on the Greek island of Rhodes. The initiative of the Forum belongs to the Center of National Glory (CNG) and Foundation of St Andrew the First-Called (AFF).
