The goal of the Foundation is the preservation of the historical, cultural, spiritual and moral succession of generations, for the sake of the preservation of Russia as a whole – in terms of values, nationhood and territory.

“Rossiyskaya Gazeta” was established by the Government of the Russian Federation in 1990. It is an official publication – state documents come into effect after they are published here. The circulation of the newspaper is over 400,000 copies. It is read by adult and even-tempered people, inclined to conservative views. “Rossiyskaya Gazeta” has 38 correspondent points, and is printed in 31 Russian cities.

The "Voice of Russia" aims to brief the international community on developments in Russia, to present a true-to-life picture of what is happening in this country and to help audiences abroad to get a better understanding of Russia. As of date, it broadcasts in Russian and 31 foreign languages. Its 340 features introduce listeners to various sides of Russian life. People in more than 160 countries use conventional and electronic means of communication to keep in touch with the station.

RIA-Novosti provides prompt socio-political, economic, scientific and financial information in Russian, the main European and Arab languages by means of electronic communications, the Internet, printed bulletins and reference materials. The main criteria of the information products of RIA-Novosti are a combination of promptness with analytical attitude and reference materials.

The Musical Olympus Foundation was set up in St. Petersburg, Russia, in 1995. The foundation is engaged in developing and implementing cultural projects on an international scale. The best- known initiatives of the foundation are the International Musical Olympus Festival (held annually since 1996) and the Strauss Remembrance Ball. In 1997 the Musical Olympus Foundation was granted the patronage of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.

Moscow University is by right regarded as the oldest Russian university. It was established in 1755. The foundation of a university in Moscow became possible only due to the efforts of Mikhail Vasil’evich Lomonosov (1711-1765), the outstanding Russian scholar and scientist, a person of encyclopaedic learning. In 1940 on the occasion of its 185th Anniversary, Moscow University was named after M.V. Lomonosov.
